These beautiful Set of bead and wire place mats, coasters and napkin rings are hand made in Kenya. As shown in the pictures above, they are unique, adding splashes of color to any table setting. The glass beads used can resist high temperatures hence are resistant to damage by heated dinnerware.The set in well packaged in a natural banana tree fiber box, giving it an African village touch.
This product is handmade by artists at our Nairobi, Kenya project. We run this project with an aim to uplift our artists by empowering them on product design, quality control, financial management as well as provide a market for their products. Each project runs for 12 months after which the artists graduate well equipped to run their own businesses.
While on this program, the artists are compensated per product, based on the sale value of the product. This project has had both short term and long term benefits to many of us Artists.
